The island of Avalon is dying. A magical plague called The Forgetting devours memories, erases places, and unmakes people. You were summoned through the Portal — the one who can find the four Seals and restore what has been lost.
The Lore
A World Between Worlds
Avalon has always existed at the edge of the real — a mythical island home to four great civilizations, each shaped by a different darkness. For centuries the island endured. Then came The Forgetting.
The Forgetting
A magical plague that began in the deepest library of the Mystical Sanctum. It doesn't kill — it erases. Memories dissolve first, then places, then entire people. The four Seals of Memory once held it at bay. All four are now broken.
Your Role
The Portal chose you. Summoned from beyond, you appear in the Portal Clearing with no memory — only a name, a purpose, and an ancient compulsion to restore the Seals. Vara the Seer calls it fate. You are not so sure.
The Choice
Every quest in Avalon presents moral dilemmas without clean answers. You cannot save everyone. Your reputation with each Realm shapes what doors open — and which close forever. There is no canonical ending. Only yours.
The Island
Four Realms of Avalon
Each Realm holds one Seal of Memory — and one great darkness. Read the stories. Then play them.
Ancient forests and crumbling temples. Ghosts of the Order of the Veil haunt the ruins. Shadow Beasts roam the Whispering Marsh. The first Seal rests beneath the Forgotten Oracle's chamber — guarded by something that should no longer exist.
An opulent court rotten with conspiracy. Every noble has a second face. The Shadow Council controls information, poison, and debt. Lady Morvaine holds the second Seal — but her true allegiance has been buried under thirteen years of carefully maintained lies.
A city built inside thought itself. The Enlightened believe consciousness is infinite — and they have been proving it by hollowing out travelers' minds for centuries. The third Seal is at the Labyrinth's impossible center. Getting there requires becoming something you may not want to be.
A paradise where every desire is granted — for a price. The Circle of Desire has fed on want and longing for a thousand years. The fourth Seal is buried beneath the Garden's heart, in a place that only opens at the moment of complete surrender.

Your class defines your abilities, your affinities, and which faction opens its doors to you. There are no wrong choices — only different truths.
A master of shadows, poison, and strategic deception. Better prices with underground merchants. Better at gathering information. The Rogue lives in the spaces between other people's plans.
Reads people, influences thoughts, and unlocks hidden dialogue paths. Slow in battle but devastating in preparation. The Mentalist doesn't fight enemies — they make enemies fight each other.
Commands desire and weaves illusions that bend reality. Exclusive NPC interactions. The lowest defense, but the most powerful social toolkit. Unlocked in Phase 3.

Five reputation tiers — Hostile to Honored — with each Realm's faction. Honored players unlock rare items, secret quests, and NPC allies. Hostile players face a very different island.
