Avalon Classes — Choose Your Path

Four heroes. Four realms. One island that remembers every choice you make.

Every run of Avalon begins with a permanent decision: which class will carry you through the island's four corrupted realms? Each hero is bonded to a specific realm, a primary attribute, and a worldview that reshapes how NPCs speak to you and how every battle unfolds. The Seer hears spirits. The Rogue counts coins. The Mentalist reads minds. The Tempter — locked until Phase 3 — bends desire itself.

Class choice is not balance. It is identity. A Rogue will finish Phase 1 in half the time of a Mentalist, but will miss two-thirds of the lore. A Seer will know every secret in the Mystical Sanctum but die twice as often. Pick the class that fits the experience you want first — replay for the others. Below you will find a card for each class with its realm-affinity, role tags and difficulty, followed by a side-by-side comparison table. Each class page goes deep on builds, skill trees, attribute priority and starting items from Merchant Thorn.

Seer — Mystical Sanctum

"The island speaks to those who learn to listen."

Role: Magic · Support · Glass-cannon
Difficulty: ★★☆ (Medium)
Bonus: +20% Mana regeneration, hidden magical objects

A fragile spellcaster with the highest single-target magical damage in Phase 1 and the richest lore experience. Reads runes, sees ghosts, dies to two solid hits at level 1.

Rogue — Court of Shadows

"Every shadow is a doorway. Every guard has a blind spot."

Role: Stealth · Physical DPS · Survivor
Difficulty: ★☆☆ (Easy)
Bonus: +20% Stealth, discounted shadow-merchant prices

The most forgiving class in Avalon. Highest HP, highest Agility, ~80% flee chance from any fight. Excellent for first runs and gold-hungry replays.

Mentalist — Labyrinth of Minds

"The mind is the only weapon that sharpens with use."

Role: Psychic · Diplomat · Strategist
Difficulty: ★★★ (Hard)
Bonus: +20% Insight, hidden NPC dialogues

The hardest class to play early and the strongest by mid-Phase 1. Ends fights through dialogue, reads enemy intent on turn 1, scales harder than any other class.

🔒 Tempter — Forbidden Garden

"Desire is a door. I am the key."

Role: Charm · Illusion · Manipulator
Difficulty: ★★★★ (Expert)
Bonus: +20% Charisma, exclusive NPC interactions

Phase 3 — Coming Soon (18+ gate). Selects between Corruption and Purity alignment tracks. Unlocks adult-only Forbidden Garden zones, seduction mechanics and the Velvet Chamber. Subscribe for launch notice.

Recommended first run

Start with Rogue. The high HP and Agility will let you survive your first few encounters while you learn the mechanics. Once you have completed Phase 1, replay as Mentalist for the full narrative depth, then Seer for the lore.
